Working in a healthy, mindful way impacts our leadership capabilities and can improve our ability to be creative and resilient in the face of complex problems and situations. Practices that support wellbeing are a ‘must have’ career progression strategy or for any future leaders program.
I’m a senior workplace wellbeing advisor, presenter, writer and coach. I work with teams and individuals in organisations helping them to develop healthy, sustainable and effective work practices. My work over the last 25 years has spanned nutrition (as an accredited dietitian), body image, sleep science, workplace and public health.
In all of these arenas I consider myself a long-standing advocate of the body in a culture that drives us to over-ride our natural rhythms, push ourselves to the limit then rely on artificial stimulation to get us through the day. I champion the concept of body intelligence as I believe that BQ is key to help you not just survive, but thrive in the modern, digital age. As a Naptivist, I love to promote a mid afternoon renewable energy break as an alternative to yet more coffee and sugar.
At the heart of all my work is the vision of re-humanising our work ethic and work cultures allowing people bring their whole selves to work.
